Taste Adventures in Pyeongtaek: Lattes and Cartoon-Inspired Delights!

Updated: Aug 27, 2023

안녕하세요, fellow food and travel enthusiasts! Today, I'm excited to recount a special culinary journey through South Korea's heart. This outing saw Jon and me (just the two of us this time) navigating the bustling streets of Pyeongtaek in the Gyeonggi province. Our shared love for unique flavors led us to a cozy nook named WouldULike.

THE SETTING

Nestled at 10-2 Songhwa-ri, Paengseong-eup in Pyeongtaek-si (경기 평택시 팽성읍 송화리 10-2 우주라이크커피 험프리점), WouldULike radiates an inviting charm with its harmonious blend of rustic and modern designs. The warm wooden interiors and the gentle rhythm of jazz create a space where time seems to slow, allowing us to savor each moment.

OUR DRINK CHOICES

While I opted for the Pistachio Latte, which was a delightful fusion of nutty pistachio flavors and creamy latte goodness, Jon surprised me with his adventurous pick. With a shrug and a smirk, he pointed to the Sweet Potato Latte on the menu. After the first sip, he looked up, almost amazed, and declared, "You have to try this, it is so good! I can’t believe they have drinks made from potatoes.” The earthy undertones of the sweet potato harmoniously blended with the latte's creamy texture, making it an unexpected hit for both of us.

A SLICE OF NOSTALGIA: “JERRY” CHEESE CAKE

What followed was the pièce de résistance – the "Jerry" Cheesecake. A playful tribute to the iconic Tom & Jerry series, this dessert wasn’t just a treat for the palate but a trip down memory lane. Imagine a luxuriously rich cheesecake slice, masterfully dipped in white chocolate, crafted to resemble the iconic cartoon cheese. Sharing the cheesecake, Jon quipped, "It's like eating Saturday morning cartoons. But better!"

WRAPPING IT UP

Our afternoon at WouldULike was nothing short of magical. The combination of innovative flavors, nostalgic desserts, and the heartwarming ambiance made it a memorable experience. As we walked out, with our bellies full and hearts content, Jon remarked, "We will defiantly be coming back here to try more of the latte flavors."

So, dear readers, if you ever find yourself in the vibrant lanes of Pyeongtaek, do yourself a favor and drop by WouldULike. With so many latte flavors available, there is bound to be something for everyone!
