In the heart of Paengseong, nestled in a cozy spot just across from Camp Humphreys’ pedestrian gate, lies a quaint yet vibrant Mexican restaurant that carries the spirit of Texas within its vibrant walls - El Pino 323. Gaining fame through its appearance on the renowned Korean television show, “Wednesday Food Talk,” it beckoned to Jon and me as the perfect destination for our cherished date night, a beckon that promised comfort, nostalgia, and a sense of home wrapped in flavors that resonated with both history and affection.


A Nod to Texas, Right Here in Paengseong

As soon as we stepped into El Pino 323, the tantalizing aroma of spices and cooked meats greeted us warmly, a harbinger of the sumptuous meal that awaited us. The restaurant carried a distinctive charm that effortlessly blended the rich Mexican culinary tradition with a Texas twist, promising a night where nostalgia would be served on a platter, along with exquisite dishes that echoed with the warmth of home.


A Celebration of Al Pastor

Seated comfortably, the vibrant energy of the restaurant enveloped us as we eagerly scanned the menu, our hearts set on trying the celebrated dishes that had graced the television screens – the Al Pastor Tacos and the Al Pastor Torta.
