The hustle and bustle of Seoul can be exhilarating, yet sometimes overwhelming. After a day of sightseeing and absorbing the vibrant culture of Seoul, the echoing pangs of our stomachs led our group – Jon, my sister Pan, Luna, our mom, and me – to seek a delectable treat to conclude our day's adventure.
Yongsan Station, with its myriad options, presented itself as the perfect location to appease our cravings. As we wandered amidst the numerous food stalls and eateries, our eyes were drawn to the tantalizing display of We Crepe. Bathed in hues of purple and adorned with a blend of glam retro décor, it was an enchanting oasis amidst the bustling station.
The juxtaposition of glam seating and light fixtures against the retro backdrop of a checkered floor gave the space a unique character. The centerpiece, a meticulously detailed miniature train display, only added to the allure, offering a playful escape for young Luna and a fascinating distraction for the rest of us.
But it wasn't just the décor that captivated us. We Crepe's menu promised a fusion of taste and texture, with a selection of crepes generously filled with ice cream and a myriad of toppings. The very thought of indulging in a cold, sweet treat wrapped within the warm embrace of a freshly made crepe was irresistible.
As we perused the menu, Jon and I were united in our choice – a delightful blend of chocolate and strawberry, wrapped in a delicate crepe, its edges slightly crispy, encasing a generous scoop of ice cream. The combination of the rich chocolate, tangy strawberries, and the cool creaminess of the ice cream was a sensory delight, each bite offering a burst of flavors and textures that danced harmoniously on our palates.
As we savored our treats, the atmosphere of We Crepe provided a serene backdrop, allowing us a momentary respite before boarding our train back to Pyeongtaek. It was a perfect ending to our day – a blend of sweet treats, familial bonds, and the enchanting ambiance of a crepe haven in the heart of a bustling train station.
