Our eighth hike in the 22 Peaks in 22 Weeks challenge led us on an unbeaten path — quite literally — as we ventured into the less-traveled trails of Geumsam Mountain. With a notable elevation of 823 feet, this untamed pathway offered us a spontaneous adventure into the wild, which we affectionately named the "Tower of Power Trail."
Into the Wild
As we ventured deeper into Yeonginsan-myeon, it quickly became apparent that our chosen path was in stark contrast to the maintained trails we were accustomed to. The absence of a well-defined path encouraged us to tap into our adventurous spirits, letting curiosity and the call of the wild guide our steps. The Unmarked Peak

Their imposing structures, strangely blending with the natural surroundings, gave the peak its distinctive “Tower of Power” signature, lending an industrial touch to the wild scenery.
